Initially the institution was affiliated to the Bombay University until the birth of the Goa University, to which it is affiliated today. What started off in a rental premises in a humble way in Borda-Margao has today grown into an independent multi-storeyed building which is well-equipped in terms of infrastructure, library facilities etc. and a well-qualified and competent faculty.
